This studio/gallery is the creative space of artist/owner Annie Froese. The gallery features original work in a variety of mediums created by Alberta artists, most of whom live within an hour of High River. Oils, acrylics, watercolours, mixed media, glass, ceramics and more are displayed in this 1917 arts and crafts home. An opportunity to indulge the senses. About 1/2 hr south of Calgary. Fri, Sat 11 am - 5 pm, Sun 1 pm - 4 pm.
Located just 30 minutes south of Calgary, the gallery is owned by local artist Rocky Barstad. They offer a collection of fine Native and Western art as well as Native artifact replicas from across Canada and the United States. Rocky also does commissioned work in painting, bronze sculpture and murals. Mon to Sat 10 am - 5 pm.
A welcome and stimulating destination, Evanescence offers art services, classes and original art and fine craft including pottery, painting and sculpture. Features changing exhibits by professional emerging and mid-career Alberta artists. Artist’s reception first Friday of each month. Tues to Thurs 10 am - 5 pm, Fri and Sat 10 am - 4:30 pm and (Labour Day to Victoria Day) Sun noon - 4:30 pm.
From their studios Bob and Connie Pike produce a wide range of art and fine craft. Bob works in metal, making gates, art boxes, tables and assorted architectural accents. Connie makes high temperature, reduction-fired porcelain -- from one-of-a-kind pieces to an extensive selection of functional pottery for everyday use. Studio tours available by appointment.
Pekisko Trading Co has a long history within the family of owner Becky Webster, providing necessities to the community. She has recently begun to offer both local and visting artists and artisans the opportunity to present their fine art and crafts in historic downtown High River. Mon to Sat 10 am - 5 pm.
